Privacy Policy & Data Protection
Effective Date: November 1, 2026 | Compliant with Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023
1. Scope and Applicability
This Privacy Policy applies to all visitors, applicants, and readers accessing StateGovtJobs.com (referred to as "the Website", "we", "us", or "our"). It governs the collection, use, retention, and protection of information in adherence to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023 (India), the Information Technology Act, 2000, and global digital publishing standards.
2. Information We Collect
We prioritize data minimization. We only collect standard non-identifying technical data necessary for server stability and elective communication:
- Automated Server Log Files: When you browse our pages, our edge infrastructure automatically logs non-personal technical diagnostics including IP address, user-agent browser string, device type, referring URL, operating system, and timestamp. This data is used exclusively to mitigate denial-of-service (DDoS) threats and monitor system performance.
- Direct Inquiries: When you submit feedback via our Contact Us form, we receive your name, email address, and message solely for the purpose of responding to your inquiry.
- No Account Credentials or Financial Data: We do not ask candidates to register accounts, upload identity proofs (Aadhaar, PAN), or provide bank/credit card numbers.
3. Web Push Notifications & Subscription Tokens
If you explicitly grant permission to receive browser job alerts via our Push Notification Prompt or Job Alerts Lead Box:
- We store a cryptographically randomized, anonymous push endpoint provided by your browser (W3C Push API / Google FCM) and your state preference (e.g. "Tamil Nadu" or "All India").
- This token contains no personal identifiers like your name, phone number, or physical location.
- How to Opt-Out / Revoke: You can cancel alerts anytime in your browser settings under Site Settings → Notifications → Block. Our servers automatically purge invalid or unregistered subscription tokens.
4. Google AdSense & Third-Party Cookies
To fund server maintenance and keep job notifications 100% free for students, we display non-intrusive advertisements served by Google AdSense.
- Google, as a third-party vendor, utilizes cookies (such as the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to our site and other destinations across the web.
- These cookies enable Google and its advertising partners to deliver relevant context without collecting personally identifiable information like your name or email.
- Opt-Out Mechanism: You can manage or disable personalized advertising by visiting the Google Ads Settings or through the Network Advertising Initiative.
5. External Government Portals & Third-Party Links
Our job alerts contain direct outbound links pointing to official recruiting commissions (such as TNPSC, UPPSC, BPSC, UPSC, SSC, Railways) and government ministerial application portals.
Once you click an external link and navigate away from StateGovtJobs.com, you are subject to the privacy policy, terms, and data collection practices of that external government agency. We encourage you to review their individual terms before providing sensitive information or application payments.
6. Your Rights under DPDPA 2023
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, users in India have recognized rights regarding their personal data:
